By accessing the website at masonrycarmel.com, requesting a quote, or engagingCarmel Masonry ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") to perform any services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or engage our services.
Carmel Masonry provides residential and commercial masonry contracting services, including but not limited to foundation repair, chimney repair, tuckpointing, brick repair, driveway pavers, retaining wall construction, masonry restoration, fireplace installation, stone veneer installation, concrete block walls, walkway construction, brick pointing, and related work.
Services are provided in Carmel, NY and surrounding communities. We reserve the right to decline any project at our sole discretion.
All estimates are provided in writing after an on-site inspection of the property. A written estimate is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued unless otherwise noted. Estimates are based on the scope of work observed during the inspection - if conditions change or additional work is discovered once the job is underway, we will notify you promptly and provide a written change order before proceeding with any additional work.
Verbal estimates, ballpark figures provided by phone, or preliminary assessments are not binding. Only a signed written estimate or contract constitutes an agreement to perform work at a stated price.
Prices are subject to change due to material cost increases, changes in scope, or unforeseen site conditions. We will communicate any changes to you before they affect your project cost.
Work is scheduled after a written agreement is signed and any required deposit is received. Start dates are estimates and may be affected by weather, permit timelines, material availability, or other factors outside our control. We will keep you informed of any significant changes to the schedule.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee to cover mobilization costs already incurred.
We reserve the right to postpone or suspend work due to unsafe weather conditions, including but not limited to heavy rain, freezing temperatures, high winds, or snow. Masonry work cannot be performed in conditions that would compromise the quality or safety of the installation.
Payment terms are specified in your written estimate or contract. For most projects, we require a deposit prior to scheduling work and the remaining balance upon completion. Specific payment milestones for larger projects will be outlined in the project agreement.
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of estimate. Payment is due at the time specified in your agreement. Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee.
If a project is stopped at the customer's request after work has begun,Carmel Masonry is entitled to payment for all work completed to date plus any materials ordered or delivered for the project.
For work that requires a building permit under applicable local or state regulations, Carmel Masonry will obtain the required permits on your behalf unless otherwise agreed in writing. Permit fees are included in your estimate or listed as a separate line item. You agree to cooperate in providing any property information required to obtain permits.
We will not perform work that requires a permit without first obtaining that permit. Any request from you to proceed without required permits will be declined.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Carmel Masonry's total liability to you for any claims arising from services we perform or from your use of our website shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits, or damage caused by pre-existing conditions discovered during the work. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, permit processing times, material shortages, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. Any warranty terms specific to your project will be stated in your written estimate or contract. Workmanship warranties cover defects in the work we performed and do not cover damage caused by acts of nature, normal wear, freeze-thaw movement beyond the scope of the repair, improper maintenance, or modifications made by others after our work is complete.
Materials are warranted to the extent of any manufacturer warranty applicable to those materials. We will assist you in pursuing a manufacturer warranty claim if a product failure occurs within the warranty period.
